Blessings

Hi Friends,
We hope that you are all doing well. We are praying that each of you have a very blessed New Year. We are bringing in the new year with lots of prayer... for the friends and family we have, and the people that God will place into our lives this next year. As well as prayers for those we have issues with, that God will change our hearts and attitudes.
We had a great day Monday, we celebrated Hannah's 9th birthday... She has had a lot of fun this week. We took her bowling and she did so good... she had a blast!! She and Sarah are both pretty good at bowling, and showed mom how to bowl. hehehe ... Then we were able to go to Build a bear workshop here, granmommy gave them gift certificates for Christmas... it was so much fun... Hannah was worn out and fell asleep shortly after we returned home, and slept for 15 hours...
It was a good day, deffinately!
Hannah and Sarah also made me special cards for Friday, my birthday... we are enjoying family time and playing games and doing crafts, and some sewing as well. Sarah has also helped me make pj's for her doll, with some small and very cute houseshoes. Long week, but well worth the time we were able to spend time (quality) time together... not just doing school work or chores..
Hope that you all have a blessed week, and a joyful New Year !

Just a few more days...

Hi Friends,
Hope that you are all doing well... There are just a few more days until a very special day! Happy Birthday Jesus!!! This is why we celebrate....
Jesus was born to come to save us from our sins and be our savior.... How? you may ask.... read on to learn more.....
------------------------------------------
HEAVEN:God's Plan for your life.
God loves you. He created you to enjoy a wonderful life here on earth and with Him in heaven. God wants you to know the wonderful plan He has for you.
In order to experience God’s plan for your life, there are several important facts you must believe from the Bible:
1. You must believe you are a sinner and seperated from God.
..."But your iniquities have separated between you and your God."
-Isaiah 59:2
..."For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God."
-Romans 3:23

Sin is willful disobedience to God’s plan for your life. You have chosen to disobey God and go your own way. You are sinful and God is holy. A great gulf separates you and God.

2. You must believe that there is a penality for your sin.
..."The soul that sinneth, it shall die."
-Ezekiel 18:4
..."For the wages of sin is death."
-Romans 6:23

As a sinner, you are condemned to spend eternity in hell to pay for your sin.
3. You must believe that your own self-effort can not bridge the gulf between you and God.
..."Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ."
-Galatians 2:16
..."Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us."
– Titus 3:5

Many people think that the gulf which separates them from God can be bridged by good works, religion, church membership, baptism, or even clean living. However, there is only one payment acceptable in the sight of God … Jesus Christ.

4. You must believe that Jesus Christ has already paid the penality for your sin.
.."But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us."
–Romans 5:8
..."For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him."
–2 Corinthians 5:21
..."For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God. "
– 1 Peter 3:18

The Bible tells us that Jesus Christ lived a sinless life Yet God took all of your sin and placed it on Christ while He was on the cross. God punished Jesus Christ in your place to pay the debt you owed and to bring you to Him.

5. You must personally receive Jesus Christ as your Savior.
..."That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation."
– Romans10:9-10
..."But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name."
– John 1:12

Receiving Jesus Christ as your personal Savior means to trust Him and depend totally on Him for your salvation. You must believe that He died for your sins, was buried and rose from the dead according to the Scriptures. You receive Jesus Christ by faith, calling upon Him in prayer to come into your life, forgive you of your sin, and give you eternal life.

..."Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me."
– John 14:6

You can Pray something like this...
PRAYER OF FAITH---
Dear Lord Jesus,I know that I am a sinner and I deserve to die and go to hell. But I do believe that you died on the cross for my sins. Right now I am trusting you to be my Savior. Thank you for forgiving my sin and giving me eternal life. Take control of my life and help me to be a good Christian. Amen.

What’s next after salvation?
..."For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them."
– Ephesians 2:10
Our good works have nothing to do with securing our salvation. However, once we are saved, God wants our lives to produce good works. Here are a few things that God wants you to do now that Christ is your personal Savior:
Follow Christ in baptism. – Acts 8:35-40
Read the Bible to grow spiritually. – Matthew 4:4
Attend a Bible-believing church weekly. – Hebrews 10:25
Tell others about Jesus Christ. – Acts 1:8

Now if you want to know more, or have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact us, and we will help you with any questions.
----------------------------
this is why we are so excited about it ....
We are so excited.... We celebrate several ways... We also write a letter to Jesus thanking Him for the blessing from the year, and expressing our feelings and gratitude... then we seal it in an envelope, and it goes into the girls hope chest. When they, one day marry they will get their letters back, and be able to see the changes they have gone through over the years.
I think it is a nice tradition for us. We also have a cake and a party for Jesus. Then the girls get to open their three presents. After which we gather with others and enjoy the day.
What are some traditions you share with friends and family?
We hope that each of you have a blessed week, and a very
Merry Christmas!

Blessings

Hi Friends,
Hope that you are all well. We are good, we had a special blessing today, and I wanted to share... I make quilts, it takes me a bit, with all of Hannah's and my health issues. Well I had an order to make a t-shirt quilt for a friend of ours. Her son had a lot of shirts from high school and collage, and I made a really nice quilt, it was 135 x 135 and very heavy. It turned out great I think.... Well normally I charge a good amount for such a large quilt, about $130.00 - $150.00, well it took me several months to finish it, so I told the person getting it that it would be lower because of the extra time I took... Well God blessed us tremendously, she actually paid me full price, which is a blessing... God always provides just what we need. I am so blessed my cup runneth over... Hannah needs a new nebulizer, her's died, and insurance won't cover a new one for two more years, now I can get a new one without worrying. I am so glad... really I am thankful !!!
We hope that you all have a blessed weekend...

Infusion today

Hi Friends,
Hope that you are all doing well. We are doing good. It has been a long day, but I know Hannah is feeling better this afternoon. Her infusion went well today, and we are so glad. She has felt like getting off the couch, and playing a little. Sarah has missed that.
Ususally they are inseperable, so when Hannah is down, Sarah feels lonesome. We have been doing some new crafts, and getting our Christmas cards made. The girls love to make their own cards for special ocassions. It is fun and easy for them to do. We love crafts so that helps too.
We also are getting eady to play santa... the girls have had so much fun wrapping goodies for the kids at the hospital... making cards and getting candy canes ready, and making sure each child receives a book too. It is so cool to see their excitement.
God is good, all the time. I am never amazed at His goodness and blessings.
Have you done a good deed for someone this week. It is easier at this season to be knd, but we sometimes forget those who go without... Bless someone this week.
Hope that you all have a blessed week...

Restful Day

Hi Friends,
Hope that you are all doing well today. We have had a restful and peaceful day today. Hannah has not felt well, so we stayed in most of the day. We did run out to get medicine, it goes to fast... we forgot tylenol the other day, and we usually switch out between the two, ibeprofen and tylenol as needed. We had to go to the dr. yesterday Hannah was hurting in her neck and shoulders, so we went to have her looked at. Still has mono, and just very tired, watching to make sure she stays hydrated....
We have also worked on out Christmas cards some, that is always fun, we make them using scrapbook stickers and paper and make them multicolored and add lots of goodies. We love it.
We have also had rest when she needed a nap, and just layed around most of the day. Now the girls are getting baths and then to bed... Hard to think that it is only 6, but they can use the rest.. and so can mommy. (O:
We hope that everyone has a blessed week.
Have you hugged your kids today ?

hum...

Hi Friends,
Hope that you are all well.... Those of you who are familiar with our family know about my daughter Hannah, and all her illnesses... recently a friend of ours let Hannah borrow a stuffed penguin.. It is amazing to me how quickly the girls become attached to things. Well Hannah fell in love with the penguin... long story short, they aren't to be found anywhere in the south. Us being in Montgomery, Alabama... no good looking here....
We cave found out the company that makes them, but it is from last year, so they no longer have any, and don't sell to individuals....
Well we found out that they were actually sold at a store called "Pamida Stores" Well I know there are none here, and the nearest one is above Tenn. We are calling every store on the list, not much luck... so I was wondering, if any of you see a sweet little Penguin made by Amimal Adventure, with a blue scarf, and no hat... Please let me know... I would be highly interested in finding one like it... it also had a Lot # 2354 on the bottum tag.... I know this is a long shot, but I also know that if it is important to us then it is important to God.... this is very important to Hannah, it would make her feel so much better, even if just in spirit.
Anyway... on to other things.
We are all feeling much better today. Hannah's immune issues mean a lot of bad days feeling yucky, fever off and on. Today was better, we are praying for a good day tomorrow, being Sat. daddy is off, and we have a few family things planned. The kids want to go look at lights, and then we usually come home to hot cocoa and a movie. We hope that you all are able to taking some quiet time with family and friends this weekend. Enjoy each other, for tomorrow is not promised.
Much love and prayer's,
Lori and girls

someting to think on...

Hi Friends,
I would like to share somethings with you... I am so glad to be friends with each of you, it is a blessing on a daily basis for me... just knowing that you are there... Thank you
Now I have only known some of you a short time, and others for years. Some of you know how it is here at our house, others don't, so I am going to share with you...
Most know Hannah has a lot of health issues, well she gets some of them from mommy. I have several issues as well... I have asthma like Hannah, and I have high blood pressure, migraines, and bipolar disorder... as some of you have noticed, I am sure... I am usually doing well, but sometimes, I am very down and depressed, and I can go on just a few hours of sleep sometimes, and then needing 9-13 hours of rest other times. I am usually in good spirits, and I know that Jesus is with me daily, but sometimes I just stumble and can't pick myself back up... in that aspect, God has placed new friends in my path to help me through the harder times. I have a few close friends, and one biological brother, who is also bipolar, we were adopted together... other than that, I don't have a traditional family... I feel like God has blessed me with you each as my extended family, for that I am immensely thankful... God has truely blessed us. I am glad to know I am not alone in my journey... as a wife, mom, teacher, or any other job God gives me... you are all here too.

Hope that you all have a blessed weekend.
Much Love and Prayer's,
Lori and girls

Hannah's Apointment

Hi Friends,
Thank you all for the prayers the last few days. What a blessing to go to our sisters in faith, and know they are praying.
Hannah's appointment was a bit discouraging for mommy. The dr. said that her body isn't responding to the immunoglobin G. We will keep doing the treatments until the end of Feb. as well as she will be taking an oral antiboitic until the end of Feb. Then we will reevaluate her progress from there. He really thinks that it is not hypogammagobulinemia, and it has something to do with her T - cells. So more test, and waiting...
We know she is in the palm of God's hand, and He is in control of it all! So glad I'm not in charge... (O: We will update more tomorrow, i can't think well, I'm so tired...
We are off to a good nights sleep... I drove 4 hours total yesterday, and 4 hours total today... very tired mommy. Hope that you all have a bleesed week.
Much Love and Prayer's,
Lori and crew

Something to think about

The ' L I T T L E ' Things .

As you might know, the head of a company survived
9/11 because his son started kindergarten.

Another fellow was alive because it was
His turn to bring donuts.

One woman was late because her
Alarm clock didn't go off in time.

One was late because of being stuck on the NJ Turnpike
Because of an auto accident.

One of them
Missed his bus.

One spilled food on her clothes and had to take
Time to change.

One's
Car wouldn't start.

One couldn't
Get a taxi.

The one that struck me was the man
Who put on a new pair of shoes that morning,
Took the various means to get to work
But before he got there, he developed
a blister on his foot.
He stopped at a drugstore to buy a Band-Aid.
That is why he is alive today.

Now when I amStuck in traffic ,
Miss an elevator,
Turn back to answer a ringing telephone ...
All the little things that annoy me.
I think to myself,
This is exactly where
God wants me to be
At this very moment..

Next time your morning seems to be
Going wrong ,
The children are slow getting dressed,
You can't seem to find the car keys,
You hit every traffic light,
Don't get mad or frustrated;
It May be just that God is at work watching over you.

May God continue to bless you
With all those annoying little things
And may you remember their possible purpose.
Life is not about waiting for the storms to pass...
it's about learning how to dance in the rain.

Sarah

Hi Friends,

Hope that you are all doing well.

We took Sarah to Children's Hospital today for her tummy issues. Everything went well. They did blood work, and everything looks good. We and the drs, think she is having panic attacks, so we will be working on that in the near future. We trust that Jesus holds us in the palm of his hands. The appointment was supose to take 2-3 hours, and we were glad to be in and out in 1 hour, that included blood work. What a blessing, we were home before dark. Yeah !!!

We do return tomorrow for Hannah, and more test and blood work. Hannah has had a headache and stomach ache for several days... we think it is because of the mono, so we will see.

We had a safe trip and not much trouble, we were driving down the interstate and our left side headlight went flying past us, it fell out and into oncoming traffic, a new light will be here on Thursday. Scared all of us quite a bit, we didn't know what fell off the van. But we all giggled about it after we realized what it was... (O:

Hope that you all have a blessed week.

Much Love and prayer's,

today

Hi friends,
Today has been a hard day for Hannah, she has not felt good at all. Fever, and a migrane all day, nothing is helping it. Now she is enjoying a fudgecycle... hopefully it will make her feel better. We have spent the majority of the day on the couch in blankets and resting most of the day.

We did get to go Christmas caroling last night with the sunday school class. That was a blessing, we visited two ladies who are in our church. Sang carols and enjoyed time with friends, unfortunately I think it was to much for Hannah, today is a result of being out for several hours last night.
I am going to keep an eye on her, but we do go to Children's hospital on Tues. and Wed. hopefully we can find out something that will help our sweet girl to feel better soon.
Thank You for all the prayers, we really appreciate them.
Hope that you have a blesses day.
Much Love and Prayer's,
Lori and girls

Hannah

Hi frineds,
Short update on Hannah, she does have mono, aka: Epstein Barr Virus, as well as cmv virus, which is what is causing the mono virus to become active... We are going to see the immunologist on Wed. next week... Hannah has been sick since August, we were in the hospital in Aug. for virus and dehydration... her body hasn't fully recovered since.
Hopefully the Dr. in Birmingham, at Children's will be able to help some. He is the dr. that put her on the IVIG infusions. We will keep everyone posted.
On another note, God blessed aboundantly this week, with Hannah being so sick lately, we haven't been out much, and I haven't had a chance, or the money to buy the girls much needed coats. Well a precious friend brought not just two, but three beautiful coats over today for the girls, Hannah picked the green one with fur, and Sarah picked the pink and grey one, and they are going to share the pretty red one. What a blessing!!! We are so thankful to God for providing.. It has gotten cold here the last few weeks, the girls have been wearing light weight jackets... so this is a blessing.
God is so Good!
Hope that you have a blessed week.
Much love and prayers,
Lori and girls.....

Hi Friends,
Hope that your week is going well. We are good, enjoying time as a family, we have watched movies, and had hot cocoa, and popcorn, all wrapped up to cuddle. Lots of fun !
Sarah fixed dinner tonight, and she did such a good job. She made steak, medium rare for daddy, and medium well for everyone else, she made noodles with butter and herbs, and seasoned collared greens. We had ginger snaps for desert. It was so good. Daddy has clean up, with Carissa's help. I enjoy a night off every so often... Hannah is a bit under the weather, just a bit of fever... We are keeping an eye on it. Sarah is good, still having tummy aches, but we do go to the doctor next week, they will run test, she had a lot of problems when she was small, with her tummy. So it is a follow up of sorts. Nothing to be worried about, we know that God holds us in the palm of HIS hands.
We hope that you all have a blessed week.
Much Love and Prayer's,
Lori and crew
