Sharing Jesus

Hi Friends,
We hope that you have all had a blessed week. We have been doing good.
I participate in a yahoo group called freecycle, it is nationwide. When people need something, or they are getting ready to clean out their stuff, they post it to give away, it is all free, so as I have been using it, I have received a lot of school stuff, and books, clothes, and even furnature.... Well last night someone posted about wanting a Bible, she had just recently started going to church, and didn't have one. I was able to give her one, for herself, her husband, and her daughter, now everyone in her family has a Bible. I was so excited to be able to help... Well when she came to get the Bibles, she started asking questions, I was able to lead her to the Lord, and tell her of Jesus' Love and mercy and grace. Then I also explained about baptism and how God wants us to follow his example. She was going to go to her church this morning and ask her pastor about getting baptised. I feel blessed to show Jesus to others, she was also going to tell her husband about Jesus. How awesome our God is. He is bigger than anything we face.
I am so blessed to beable to serve such an awesome God. Thank Jesus....
I have seen where God has provided oppertunities to share Jesus with someone, if I fail to take the opportunity, I feel as if I have failed Gods opportunity for the blessing. Do you know when God opens a door for witnessing? I am learning to keep my mind open to his leading. It can be a challenge. but the rewards are awesome.
How do you show Jesus to others? It can be as easy as saying Jesus loves you to someone you meet along the way.
One of my resolutions for the year is to reach and witness to one person a week, and see God work. I have lead one person to the Lord this month, my goal is one a month. If I am witnessing to others, God will help me lead more. My goal for the end of the year is 15 people led to Jesus.
I hope that you each have Jesus in your hearts, and are following him, if you are lead astray, please consider coming back to Him, He is waiting with open arms, just like with the prodical son in Luke 15:11-32. Jesus tells the story of a man who has two sons. The younger demands his share of his inheritance while his father is still living, and goes off to a distant country where he "waste[s] his substance with riotous living", and eventually has to take work as a swineherd (clearly a low point, as swine are unclean in Judaism). There he comes to his senses, and decides to return home and throw himself on his father's mercy, thinking that even if his father does disown him, that being one of his servants is still far better than feeding pigs. But when he returns home, his father greets him with open arms, and hardly gives him a chance to express his repentance; he kills a fatted calf to celebrate his return. The older brother resents the favored treatment of his faithless brother and complains of the lack of reward for his own faithfulness. But the father responds: "Son, thou art ever with me, and all that I have is thine. It was meet that we should make merry, and be glad: for this thy brother was dead, and is alive again; and was lost, and is found."
What a blessing to know that Jesus is waiting for us to come to Him.
My prayer is that if you don't know Jesus you will find someone who does, and you will ask questions, on how to come to Jesus.
I will be glad to answer anyone who has questions, just email me, or post questions in the comments section, I check it often.
Jesus Love you, if you were the only person on the earth, Jesus would have died on the cross just for you.
Have a blessed week.

Long Week

Hi Friends,
We hope that you have all had a blessed week. We have had a special but busy week. My best friend has had a beautiful baby girl, Anna Lynn. Born 1/22/09, 6 lbs, 10 ozs. , 19 inches long, beautiful girl. -- We are blessed by this precious baby God sent.
Hannah is excited to have a new baby to help with, and since they live just around the block, it will be fun for the girls to help "watch" baby Anna.
We hope that you all have a blessed week.

Hannah

Hi Friends,
Hope that you are all doing well this week. Keeping busy, Hannahs feeling some better, her legs are still hurting daily, we are just doing what we can for her. We are still looking for a stroller to help her. Unfortunately we havent found a large sized stroller for her. I would rather not put her into a whhelchair, so we continue to search...
On another note, the infusion has helped a bit, Hannah is still very tired, but she has wanted to play some this weekend, so that is a blessing. She seems to be jumping back faster this time from the infusion... which is a blessing.
Sarah is doing well, she has had a stomach virus over the weekend, I think it is about over, and she has kept away from Hannah so she shouldn't get it. time will tell.
We hope that you each have a bleesed week, as our Nation begins a new adventure with a new president, staff, and atmosphere. Please be in Prayer for each of the new staff comes into office. The nation needs our Prayer's,
Have a blessed week, keep Jesus first in all you do.
Much Love and prayer's,

Hannah

Hi Friends,
We hope that each of you are doing good. We are resting as much as we can, trying to feel better. Hannah's infusion is tomorrow, it takes several hours, and she has to be still for the duration of the treatment, thankfully she can get it at home, a home healthcare nurse, Kim, comes to the house every four weeks, and is great with Hannah. Then after the infusion, she usually rest most of the day, and then the day after she usually likes to play, if she is feeling better. We have to keep an eye on fever after transfusions, and so we keep tylenol and motrin on board. Hopefully with the antibiotics she will do good this week. We will have one more treatment in Feb. and go back to the immunologist, to decide if they are helping enough to continue them. We are praying for Hannah to feel better, 5 years is a long time to be sick. Her issues are :
*allergies, she is allergic to a lot, they set off her asthma,
*asthma, she has breathing treatments several times a day, usually two or three, depending on how she feels.
* pulmonary valve stenosis, vaule in her heart, leading to her lungs, is weak
* heart murmur, on the right side, near the weak valve,
* sleep disorder, she has to much brain activity at night to get good rest, making her tired often,
* migranes, several a month at this point, (like mommy)
* immune disorder - at the moment they think it is - hypogammagobulemia
which is a CVID - common varitable immune disorder...
They did recent test on here T- cells and natural killer (NK) cells. Hopefully this will shed more light on what is next for Hannah in ways of treatment options.
We covet your prayers, and know that Jesus hears them, thank you for all the prayers this far. What a blessingto us to know we have so many prayer partners. We thank God daily for each of you.
Hope that you all have a blessed week.
Much love and prayer's,

Hi Friends,
We hope that you are all well. We have had the yuckys here. Mommy has had a migrane for a few days, so we have been hanging around. Luckily the girls are way ahead in their school work so we can take breaks when needed. Which is a blessing. Hannah is feeling a little better today. She is having a time getting rid of the headach and stomach aches. We are keeping her hydrated as much as possible. Wed, she has an infusion so maybe that will help some. We aren't sure how much longer the infusions will be given, possible that Feb will be her last for now. We haven't seen an improvement with her health issues, the drs were hoping for a big difference in her health. We will know more at the end of Feb. when we return to the immunologist at Children's. Hopefully they can tell us more from the last set of testing they did in Dec. and shed some light on what we can do to help Hannah feel better. It is a day by day thing for her. Some days she feels good, other days she feels yuck, tired and feverish. There is no way to tell how she will feel from day to day. We have managed to stay out of the hospital lately, so that is a blessing. We were last in the first part of Aug. with a virus and dehydrated.
We are doing what we can on a daily basis. One day at a time, small steps. We hope that you all have a blessed weekend.
Much love and Prayer's,
Lori and girls

Hannah Update...

Hi Friends,
Hope that everyone is doing well. Hannah is not feeling well this week... headaches and tummy aches as well as not wanting to eat anything. Trying to keep her hydrated. She ia also sleeping a lot. We have been trying to get school in, a little at a time. Hopefully we can ward off anything viral, she is on antiobiotics for three months, but she is still feeling bad. It has been a long week. A new issue Hannah is having is that she is having some issues with wetting herself. Each time she gets nervous or upset she has an accident. Several times she is having problems. I am not sure what to expect, so I am in a watching and waiting mode. Please keep praying, it is very upsetting to Hannah she cryes everytime it happens. She has also been wetting the bed a lot, usually that is a sign that she is getting sick again... waiting is something we are working on, it is so hard. We have given this all to God, and we know Hannah is in the palm of God's hand... waiting is a challenge for us sometimes. I am so glad that we have Jesus to help us through this daily, I don't know how the unsaved do it alone.
We do appreciate all the prayers on our behalf. It is such a blessing to have so many friends to pray with us. We hope that everyone has a blessed week and weekend.
Much Love and prayer's,
Lori and girls

Facing The Giants...

Hi Friends,
Hope that you are all doing well, and that the new year is off to a great start for you! We now have heat, Thank you Jesus that the weather has been so mild this week. We haven't been cold, much. It is so nice to have it working again.
Hannah is doing good, still lots of issues with her legs, they hurt her almost everytime she walks even a little. We did manage to get in a small 15 minute ride today, we took the girls over to the church parking lot, the church is across the street from our house, (not our regular attended church, just a area church) and she rode her bike for a bit, but it wasn't long before they started hurting. I am proud of her for going, even just a short time. I am trying to see how long she can go before she starts to complain. I need to be able to tell the dr. how far she can go before pain sets in. We just keep working, and as always do our best either way.
We saw a movie tonight, it was daddy, Sarah, Hannah and myself, and we spent some quiet time watching "Facing the Giants." It was on tv, and it was so good. Lonnie has not seen all of it yet, so we will be seeing about renting it soon. I love that movie, it makes me cry everytime I see it. Well worth the four times I have seen it. I love it... God is awesome! I love to see His handiwork.... The girls enjoyed it as well. They had not seen it either.
We are starting back school on Monday, my nephew Zachary will be off, so he will se how we do things here on a school day. Hannah has finished her History for the week, but will want to do more I am sure, we have been studying our family history over Christmas break, and she is facinated by it all. We are interested to learn more, I had to explain to her that it takes many months of work, and sometimes you only find a small amout of info out at a time. She is excited to see Moma Jordan (Lonnie's mom) tomorrow for lunch, she has so many questions to ask.... I can hardly wait myself...
Well better be going, it is getting late.... Have a great day tomorrow...
Much Love and prayer's,
Lori and girls

Happy 2009 everyone

Hi Friends,
We hope that this day finds you all well. It is a new year, a new beginning, as well as a new chance to show others Jesus through you.
We have spent lots of family time today, and enjoyed just being together. Cuddled under warm blankets, and being couch potatoes... the heat went out yesterday afternoon, and will not be fixed until tomorrow at the earliest... Hopefully there will be a few places open tomorrow so we can get the new part without calling a afterhours service... Daddy already pulled the part, it is an easy part to replace, it is just finding a new part to replace the broken one. So we will see.
On another note... we pray that you each have had a good year, and that 2009 will be even better as you grow closer to Jesus, and make Him your main focus.
Hannah is feeling good this week so far we have had no fever for four days and no migranes for three. She has been up playing and enjoying her christmas goodies, and birthday gifts. Thank you for all the prayers on her behalf, we appreciate them all.
Have a blessed week,
