We hope that you are all doing well. We are praying that each of you have a very blessed New Year. We are bringing in the new year with lots of prayer... for the friends and family we have, and the people that God will place into our lives this next year. As well as prayers for those we have issues with, that God will change our hearts and attitudes.
We had a great day Monday, we celebrated Hannah's 9th birthday... She has had a lot of fun this week. We took her bowling and she did so good... she had a blast!! She and Sarah are both pretty good at bowling, and showed mom how to bowl. hehehe ... Then we were able to go to Build a bear workshop here, granmommy gave them gift certificates for Christmas... it was so much fun... Hannah was worn out and fell asleep shortly after we returned home, and slept for 15 hours...
It was a good day, deffinately!
Hannah and Sarah also made me special cards for Friday, my birthday... we are enjoying family time and playing games and doing crafts, and some sewing as well. Sarah has also helped me make pj's for her doll, with some small and very cute houseshoes. Long week, but well worth the time we were able to spend time (quality) time together... not just doing school work or chores..

Wow, what a busy week! Happy Birthday...Merry Christmas...Happy 2009! Sounds like fun was had by all! And you can't go wrong with bowling and build-a-bear!

Wow! I just now got the comment you left me last week. I've been a little busy, I guess. What a blessing you are to me! I never thought of the story of Abraham and Isaac and it does seem pretty fitting. It was also VERY encouraging to hear about your move to ID back to AL. I know that there is some lesson in all of this and I know my mom keeps saying that she has seen many changes in me (via phone and email!) but I'm not sure what they are. I hope that I am learning the lesson(s) that God wants me to learn and that I will hold tightly to them the rest of my life.
I love your traditions at Christmas! Our Christmas on the beach was lots of fun. The girls had lots of fun making holes in the sand and watching them fill with water. (I'll be posting pics today!) Then we came home and just hung out. It was very peaceful and one of the best days that we have had in weeks!
I too want to help other families in need. I am wondering if this is part of what God has been showing me during this time. At this time in my life, I can barely do for my own girls and so know that God isn't asking me to do for others (what I can't do for my own). I do believe though, that once I have my degree and GOOD job, that I am supposed to advocate for those who have very little or nothing. I was actually thinking about that today on the way back from the beach. (Yep! We went again today...getting as much time in there as possible before the return to beachless MT!) Wondering how God will use me (and the girls) to reach out to other families in the same situation we are now in. All I know is that without my brother and sister-in-law, I don't know what would be happening with the girls and I. Maybe this time is being used to show me just how bad it can be for others. All I know is that it breaks my heart to think of others struggling so badly and nearly sends me into a panic knowing that the girls and I are just one step away from that. God truly is SO good!
